just got a traveller and its fitted with a 1300 engine and 9 inch drum brakes, needs full restoration but any idea what the brake drums will be from ,,eg marina, riley?

I wouldn't know,but put up a picture,drums on AND drums off,and someone will have a part number before the weekend,betcha!!

I would have thought Marina and Riley brake pads and parts are much harder to get now than Minor parts.
My old 1975 1300 Austin Allegro had a non-servo disk/drum setup which was quite poor... it was like any old car... you press the brakes and nothing happens.

9 in Wolseley drums are the most common conversion.

Earlpart - or slightly modify TR7 rear shoes (later model) which are often inexpensive on ebay.

That's because most TR7s have long rusted away or gone to the crusher...

Oh indeed that is true - the rustproofing on all the Leyland cars of that era was truly pathetic. But it makes the ones that are left all the more rare and desireable !

got in touch with a firm called fleet factors they are sending them for a re=line 36 plus vat
