morris traveller

just got a traveller and its fitted with a 1300 engine and 9 inch drum brakes, needs full restoration but any idea what the brake drums will be from ,,eg marina, riley?

I wouldn't know,but put up a picture,drums on AND drums off,and someone will have a part number before the weekend,betcha!!

I would have thought Marina and Riley brake pads and parts are much harder to get now than Minor parts.

My old 1975 1300 Austin Allegro had a non-servo disk/drum setup which was quite poor... it was like any old car... you press the brakes and nothing happens. :o

9 in Wolseley drums are the most common conversion.

Earlpart - or slightly modify TR7 rear shoes (later model) which are often inexpensive on ebay.

That's because most TR7s have long rusted away or gone to the crusher... :lol:

Oh indeed that is true - the rustproofing on all the Leyland cars of that era was truly pathetic. But it makes the ones that are left all the more rare and desireable !

got in touch with a firm called fleet factors they are sending them for a re=line 36 plus vat
