I found it quite straightforward. Some of the supplied bolts are
too long so I cut them down after fitting and also painted the
whole lot matt black as it was quite visible when silver.

the bottom arm mount was a similar design to the early owen burton one at the ends that bolt onto the bottom arm and i had lots of trouble with the arm pulling over the bushes.

An something as important as an anti roll bar should not be bolted to the car with long mounings to the engine bolts, if it moves or the moints flex i would expect the handling could get a bit odd if you were driving hard

the bull motif one is to my mind a much better design and if you weld on the front mounts it is 100% secure and cannot move.

It is well worth fitting it so don't get discouraged and remember
that it involves no welding or drilling of holes in the car so it can
be returned to standard at any time. In my opinion the fitting of
a front anti roll bar is the second most effective mod(after fitting
radial tyres). You should be delighted.

thanks very much willie for your words of encouragement, i do have radial tyres of course.
i will fit it and see what it is like then, i do not drive that mad as it is a standard 1098 pick up

dennis, did not mean to imply it is bad  , just i did not like the design and found bull motif's is better suited to me and my driving style.

I desided i wanted the most sturdy design and nothing that bolted on, as my last turbominor suffered from the bolts pulling and tearing the chassis.

Dennis,
if it's any encouragement I have a Grumpy's anti roll bar on my twin cam minor and it's fine. Admittedly I have modified it a bit because I don't use the standard mounting for the engine. But it does the job.

Regards,
Wal

I agree about the benefits of an anti-roll bar. People always comment on the Minors good handling direct steering. But a standard car handles like a ballon full of water compared with one fitted with an ARB.
