Yep! hosepipe ban starts in Lincolnshire tomorrow and todays its like January - arctic temperatures and torrential rain

still, to be fair, it is
VERY dry here and there has not been a significant fall of rain for ages. Good job I have a rainwater well from which gardens can be watered and cars can be washed

I use #1 Drywash
http://www.onedrywash.com/ (other makes available) on the Morris and my C6. My neighbour uses it on his BMW and Porche and has done for a long time now.
No water required so unaffected by any potential 'hosepipe' ban
No, it doesn't scratch the paintwork and is very easy to use so if your looking for a way to keep your car clean..........

That would mean Roy never goes out at all, its always raining in Scotland - thats why they don't have a hose pipe ban.

It rained again today and my water butt is overflowing. Can I donate the contents to the local reservoir?
Can't see the problem with water shortage, it comes out of the pipe, through the hose, down the drain, through the treatment works or straight into the river, out of the river back into the pipes. Full circle - if we did not use it then it would not get re cycled.

I'm going to divert the bath waste and filter it through a coarse sand filter before using it on the garden. needs must when the hosepipe bans.

I managed to cut our grass last weekend - we had a day and a half with out rain!
No hosepipe ban here in the heart of the country.. plenty of mud though.
