What you think ,thermostat want or not for Morris minor 1000 car (without heater) like to ask all of you

You must have one otherwise the engine will not cool efficiently and will overheat...

can you tell me, if the radiator filler cap is good how to overheat - other hand the thermostat open when engine hot ( at that moment ,like not a thermostat )

How will the engine overheat without thermostat? The purpose of the 'stat is to prevent the flow of water through through the rad. until it has reached the correct temp. Without a 'stat the water will have unrestricted flow through the radiator and will take longer to reach the correct temp..
Sandun, Do not worry about problems that do not exist. Enjoy driving your car and check the oil and water often until you are happy that it is not overheating or leaking.

You must have a thermostat - OR a blanking sleeve fitted. Without it - the water will not circulate round the rear part of the block leading to problems. Run without at your risk!

Just fit a 74 degree stat, pop the cover on and enjoy many miles of trouble free minoring. As Mike says Sandun, don't invent problems to fix! The car only overheats if there is something wrong and you will know when there is something wrong as it will quickly lose performance. Engines are engines - they are supposed to get hot when they are working properly. Just keep an eye on the water level, top up regularly and you'll have few problems.

The problem is - Sandun can't find a 74 degree stat in Sri Lanka - which surprises me !

Aah - didn't realise that. sandun - This link takes you to Moss Europe where 74degree stat's are a fiver plus delivery. Might be worth just sending for one
http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewP ... rtOrder=15 - it's item 11 on the list

Thanks all of you -The purpose of Thermostat, Quickly warm up engine and prevent water flow until warm up engine to come correct temp. when the engine came to correct temp and going to go over temp ,thermostat open and lets go to water flow through the radiator .
Why engine must warm quickly ? because wet and cool weather as UK ,Difficult and languorous to run the engine, So engine want must warm. ( standard 74c - set heater , want 82 c thermostat )
Note - after water warm up thermostat is often open. so then water not waiting in radiator for cool - water flow through the radiator without stop .
My county temp: at 12 noon 23 c or 32 c, because of that we not want extra warm to start and run engine ,we want to cool engine often and not use heater ( we want a fan for cool)- So we remove the thermostat because the part not very import to us - when it remove from the car, the cooling system circuit work ,like when open the thermostat, and water will take longer to reach the hot ( our purpose to slowly warm up engine) . and not risk about block thermostat , hoses explosive of radiator , not damage heads form over heating , and gasket of engine cooling system.
we must use standard ( 4LBS ) radiator filler cap ,when over heat water the cap want open and when cool want to close - the cap take care the engine not to over heat and put the engine proper temp - other hand when water warm have a pressure ,top of the radiator ,the pressure push water towards to the cooling fan then water fill cooling system of the engine it case to cool engine correctly.
finally I conclusion, IF the thermostat is a very import parts to the cool county as UK ,not a very import parts to the hot county for morris minors.
I ask from you, Am I correct or not ?

Engine runs more efficiently at the right temperature. You get most of your wear in an engine at colder temp hence thermostat to get temp to right temp otherwise without thermostat it will run colder

It is not a problem - when run the Engine warm up and slowly come to efficient - not a bad effect and risk on this process
