MM fuel tank

Hi all,anyone got a petrol tank for my `52 series MM lying around and just getting in the way?Seems mine has rusted from the inside through a 25yr lay up.
I am in the Romford,Essex area.Any help much appreciated.

If you cannot get a 5 gall.tank then a 6.5 gall. 1098 tank will fit. You may find that the fuel pipe connection into the tank is a different thread but I solved that problem by cutting the pipes and joining them with a length of flexible fuel line. You will also need the 1098 spare wheel clamp bracket.

Thanks very much Mike.If I cant pick up the correct tank I will certainly do as you suggest.

All sorted.Removed tank and put a handfull of `pea shingle` in with a gallon of petrol.A good shake released a lot of gunge.All rust removed and painted.Pump now primes instantly.The old girl has been standing for a while!!!
