engine rebuild

hi just a couple questions
i managed to get hold of a 803cc block and head(seperated)
ive reseated the valves and put new valve seals on
new head gasket ect.............torqued down to 44lbs.............do you think that is enough?
also putting the dizzy on this block...........the slots for it seen in a differrant place than on my old engine
ie when at TDC on the old block the slots are nearly 45 degrees.......( diaganal)
but on the new block at TDC the slots are 180 degrees( flat )
now ive never put a dizzy back on before
but would like advice before wacking the engine back in....as its out of the moggy at the moment
please any tips to tell me the way to do it as reading the book confusses me totally
