Stop the exhaust blowing, adjust the tappets and replace the timing chain.
Turn the sounds system down?
Any particular sort of noise?

Ooh but the noise is one of the best bits! (The whole street knew when my Dad was leaving for work or coming home in his 1953 Series II van, but we were in a very small rural village so it didn't bother folks then. Would be different now of course.)
Hope it is just the normal sort of noise and there is nothing nasty causing it.

I added a bonnet sound roofing pad from Newton and some rubberised pads under the back seat/rear footwell of my convertible and we can drive along at 50 with the top down and have a conversation at normal level
Plus the car is quieter at idle than my modern HDi
So as MarkyB said "Any particular sort of noise?"
