My parking area at home is really just an area of ground that becomes quite mushy after rain and I want to have it dug out and backfilled using this core gravel stuff http://www.coregravel.co.uk/ or similar to help keep the stone chips in place and to avaoid deep ruts. Has anyone any expererience of using this type of soil stabilisation product as it is quite expensive and I want to be as sure as I can be that it will do what it says on the tin.

Jeff dont waste your money! dig your ground out to a depth of 3ft fill with broken rubble ( mainly clay brick)cover over with plastic type chicken wire or link fencing and drainage solved .The top surface can be edged with hardwood easily sourced scrap then covered with pea gravel or any decorative stone or slate .The coregravel is virtualy useless and only serves as a decorative purpose and with damp ground etc the retaining pads sink! and are really only the same as scrap plastic load pallets which are easily found free on retail parks etc
