Hi im just about to refit my head, and the gasket i have is not marked " front or top" , no markings at all, one surface is copper, and the other is black, i was thinking it shouls be "copper surface up " ???. also i intend using 20/50 oil in the engine, is this ok for the gearbox as well. many thanks regards steve

copper side up.

20/50 in engine and box is perfect.

Make sure surfaces are spotless - studs are firmly locked into the block, and lightly smear both faces of the gasket with grease before fitting. Torque to 44 ftlbf - and retorque after the first heat cycle.
