Hello,

Here is a link to the Tramway Museum in Crich which states that there is a Morris Minor Day for those who have a Morris Minor - all of the details are included on the website plus the booking form for admission :D .

http://www.tramway.co.uk/events/232/morris-minor-day

Is anyone thinking of attending it? I am considering it as it is quite interesting and it's quite good to see our old cars with old trams - like they used to be :).

Yes I am planning to be there - it is normally a great turn out and free entry for Minor & driver.

There should be a '49er from Leics branch there - the owner doesn't post on here much.

That's good we can swap sidevalve stories  like needing three hands to adjust the tappets while bending over backwards

The download doesnt seem to work from Crich website - give them a ring & they'll send you an entry form.

Joining in the parade of cars is part of the Crich tramway village scene back to the days when cobled streets were the norm.
Avoiding the tram tracks as Morris Minors did back in the fifties and joining in the fun rather than being static all day, so after ten laps what ever grease was in the trunnions was now departed.
Decided to give the trunnions some tender care whoops  Forgot my grease gun.... No problem as lots of Minor owners...so asked if I could borrow said grease gun :D
Get this no one had one !
