Welcome aboard Bulldog.
Interesting colour, quite rare I think.
Ditch that plastic petrol pipe at the earliest opportunity and replace it with the proper rubber one.

It's a brave attempt, but it doesn't look like she is going to fly!

Seriously, well done in saving another one.

Welcome. Indeed you have a rare Porcelain Green ('60-'61) with the original Beige interior! Good luck with the restoration. Keep the pictures coming. Why not start your own thread in the Restoration section so we can see how you're doing. Remember any questions - we're always here to help.

HI And welcome.
Just a bit of advice. Put a inline fuel filter between fuel pump and and carberetter.
Did this on mine after lots of break downs as mine had been stood for a long while.
No break downs since.Theres only a small pin hole for fuel to go through in the carb chamber.
Best Regards

Why not fit a filter? As long as it is after the pump it should be ok I thought? I have loads of questions but in time I will ask them when im closer to fix them :)

Hi All,

Why not fit before the pump i know it means cutting the metal fuel but two of cuts of rubber fuel pipe and four fuel pipe jubilee clips and your protecting two parts for theprice if one, ok some of you will say it to close to the exhaust and could melt and be fire risk, but then you should fit a heat sheild as i did on 68 pick up.

HI But You can keep an eye on it under the bonnet . and allot easier to change And there are chrome ones on ebay that look super.

If you fit before the pump then it will fry the pump when it gets blocked. The pump has its own filter which is why you don't need a filter after the pump. The simple answer is to make sure the pump filter is fitted and checked (as it should be) during servicing.

I no my fuel pump has a filter as well but I dont no why but it did not help me,
As the inline fuel filter solved my problem completely.
Good point though,

I have fitted the alternator and it is now - earth and done the dynamo Control box I must admit there is a bit of guesting there but from what I worked out I put the small wire from D and joined it to f and the earth to the body and the rest looks like they just joined together? Do that sound right? I am using all the old wiring it looked like it had big enough wires to do the job
