Insurance shock today

Post by minor65 »

My last few years insurance premiums have been in the region of £750 :( . Which was for insuring my 2 minors and my 1982 Datsun/Nissan Stanza, Third party fire and theft, 1500 miles restriction (Footman James).

I have been expecting my renewal to drop through the letterbox any day now, and today was the day !! Whilst I turned 25 since the last renewal I have been hoping that the price would have came down slightly.

Whilst taking a deep breath on opening the envelope, I read the price. HOW MUCH !! £184, AND FULLY COMP.

This couldn't be right. Checked all details, and yes all perfect.

Happy Days, I thought it would come down but not that much.

Just praying now for the free tax to start on the Japanese machine.

Fantastic! :D The only benefit for getting old, cheaper insurance.......
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!

Wonderful news. unfortunately the free tax for the Japanese machine will never surface as its not made before July 1973.

Or pink elephants might deliver the post...

I will be surprised if the free tax for pre 1973 vehicles continues for much longer.
