My first (and to date only), Minor had to be sold about 10 years ago to help fund my wife thru uni.

Melvyn is a 2 door Delux 1966 Almond Green 1000 reg number GNJ176D. First registered 21 January 1966. Originally, I believe, from Sussex, I purchased him from a lady near Dartford in about 1998. He was in lovely condition, but I had some new bits put on including a lead free head and new carpets. I paid £700 then, which was cheap even in that day, and always expected to be pulled over when driving him for 'theft'!

I sold him to a chap who had just returned from living in Africa somewhere and found that it was cheaper to run a classic than try and get insurance for a modern (at that time) car. I think he went to his new home in and around Raynes Park, London SW20, possibly around the West Barnes Lane area, just off the A3. This was around the summer of 2001 as it was before my wife started uni in September 2001.

I saw him once about 5 - 6 years ago, but lost him in the traffic. It looked like the same chap was driving him. Sadly, two house moves mean I have lost all records of him.

If anyone knows his current whereabouts I'd love to hear. Be especially pleased if someone on the boards has him. Be even more pleased if they wanted to sell him back to me! :D
