need some help on how to remove the front side/indicator light assembly. ive got the wing off complete with rust and filler and more rust, ive had to drill out the screws which hold the headlight bowl in place, but the nuts on the rear of the side/indicator just turn with the bolt/stud, i cant see any way of getting the lens/ trim off the front so as to get a grip on the bolts, any help would be appreciated, regards steve

The lenses just turn off. Grip and twist. There are locating lugs in the bezel that once cleared allow the lense to be lifted off. The back plates should be attached with self tappers from the front so I guess someone changed them for nuts and bolts in the past....

Early sidelights, I've found, you have to gently work the rubber off of a section of the lens to get it to come off; once a section is free, it just pulls out. If the rubber is exceedingly perished, you may need to chisel this away with a screwdriver. PSL is absolutely right about headlights though; just grip and twist, unless they're rusted in place, and it should be obvious upon inspection what to do in that case.
If they actually are rusted stuck, just drill the bolts out from the sidelight. They can easily be replaced.
