Tyre Pressures

Hi Everyone
Just replaced the cracked crossplies on the Morris Minor with 155x80x14,my question is what tyre pressures do you recommend.
When fitted with the crossplies I used to run 22 front and 24 rear, but when the radials are set at the same tyre pressures they look a little flat? Is this correct?
Thanks
Craig

Radial side walls are more flexible than cross plies and generally need a higher pressure, anything between 26 and 32 is recommended by owners. Basically it depends on the brand of tyre and whatever suits your driving style, therefore try different pressures and see which gives you the best roadholding/handling.

Especially with the 155 tyres - you will find 30 psi much better - and up to 34 in the rears if carrying a load.

I found 30 psi too high for my convertible and settled at 27 psi as the best compromise for ride and handling

I guess the Convertible is perhaps a bit lighter.

I found 28 front and 32 rears gave the balance I wanted, but I do hate understeer!

I prefer 26psi F/R. on 155/14s
As you can see it is very much a personal choice
