Correct - they won't fit - and Marina wheels look ghastly........ But the good news is - MGF wheels will fit straight on, are cheap to buy (since they won't fit much else) and they look great! Like these

if you want to retain steel wheels the space saver wheels are cheap as well and probably will not have seen the road so are usually in lovely condition... the minor hub caps will not fit however

And i think you can fit little 'studs' to them to retain the hub caps if that is your wish.....

MGF wheels will fit on a Marina saloon yes. But not straight onto a Minor saloon, unless you fit a Marina axle.

Mmm - I'm always caught in two minds when it comes to the marina wheels - I quite like them - especially the inch lower, inch wider look they give to the Minor. Years ago, when Mr Ware launched his Modified Minor, there was a feature in one of the long dead classic mags of the era which featured a lovely maroon convertible with cream Marina wheels which I thought looked quite good. So much so that when a neighbour offered me a set of 5 marina wheels for free I said yes. Still not sure if I'll ever put them on the car but it always makes me think about whether I should when I see the discussions about them.
See what you think - here's the picture of the car from those long past days (sorry about the fold in the middle

you can do it by using M6 thumb screws with nut & shkprf washer. If you look at page 35 in Ray Newells Original Morris Minor he shows a picture of a series mm wheel & this shows a pointed rivet at 3 locations on the rim.Use the m6 thumb screw instead of the rivet with the flat part of the thumb pointing to the centre of the wheel.Make sure you work out the correct pcd before drilling

Seriously -these slotted wheels just look ghastly to me.....and the diameter too small........... MGF wheels look great - and available in 15 and 16 inch diameter......

looking at that charlie ware pic i can't help thinking that the morris was the big classic that issognis designed and not the mini.

I would far rather have a standard van rim in old english white or silver
heres the option I would go for:

but each to their own

Of course......the wide van rims are the way to go, not obviously different and give the necessary extra support to the tyre. But Minilite and Wolfrace style alloys look great too!
