wiring headunit

Post by minor57 »

im looking to wire in my stereo into my minor , i have 3 connections to power it, one is the earth the other is live and the other is a perminent live i wont be connecting the perminent live but im wandering where to connect the live, the stereo has a built in 15a fuse, so should i just wire it straight from the battery live? i will just connect the earth to a screw that goes into the body itself.

As long as the negative battery connection of the battery is already connected to the bodywork you should be good to go.
If not look for a thread on changing polarity.

Better run the supply through a fuse - even though it has an inline fuse. Connect to purple wire coming away from the fuse box if you want to run it when the Ignition is not on.
