I need to replace the gasket on my bolted up version of the inlet/exhaust manifold I am willing to bet the 4 off 1/4 bolts bolting it together will all shear off when I try to remove them , what thread form are they I assume UNF as the rest of the engine but I am sure someone will know

If they shear off (and 10/1 they will...) - just drill out and retap and use M8 bolts. Or - get a later/better one piece inlet manifold from a later model.

I had a go at removing them last night and managed to eventually get 3 off to unscrew as I had hinted at they turned out to be 1/4 UNF 2 5/8 long so I will drill out the remaining 1 off and retap the same
thanks for the advice

Oh yes - they are 1/4 UNF - but I'm amazed they came out - you should nip out and buy a Lotto ticket right away - it's obviously your lucky day.....
