Heater repair
Is there anyone who repairs or re-cons heaters for a 56 or 63? Surely I dont have to bin it, would like to have it done and keep it as it should be. The 63 works well but wouldn't mind giving it a treat
The 56 wont even turn on, so would really like to get it fixed.

Re: Heater repair
Don't know about over there in the mother country, but any real radiator shop (that kind that actually fixes things rather than just selling new plastic stuff) should be able to service a heater core (I believe you all call it a heater "matrix"). If it's not leaking on your feet it's probably clogged, or the valve is bad. When you say that it won't turn on, are you referring to the coolant valve or the fan switch (was there a fan in the '56???).
A good, general cooling system flush (with the heater valve on and working) will often improve things.

Take it to bits and see what's wrong with it! May be clogged with a rat's nest.......

Re: Heater repair
When you say it won't turn on do you mean the fan doesn't work, or that no hot water flows through the heater?
