Rust!!!

Post by Ray H »

Hi I'm looking for some advice please. My 61 saloon has failed it's mot due to rust on sills boxing panel and pillars :o I've started repair but need advice on what order to replace the above and tips to make the job as straight forward as possible (eg best place to cut). If there is anyone in the South Cheshire area (Crewe) who would be prepared to cast an eye on the job and give their advice / opinion, I'd be really grateful.
Cheers
Ray

It would be worth chatting to your local branch. Membership brings many benefits, one of which is that you'll get to know plenty of people who can offer practical advice. :D

Thanks for the advice :D I have been searching /reading other peoples rebuild projects. As you know each car is different, if repair is needed. I suppose it was a confidence boost I was looking for really . . . .

Agree! Local branch may be the source of the help and advice you need!

A question though- as the Boxing panel is invisible to the MOT tester, how did he manage to fail the car on this panel??? :o
