According to the DVLA search facility, the vehicle is not on file. That probably means that it has been scrapped. It might be sitting in a barn somewhere, but that's a pretty long-shot. Sorry.

You might be able to get the chassis number from the County Records Office of the Council that issued the registration number. In your case, unfortunately my records do not decode "NMG", but hopefully we can decipher it from somewhere else...

I have a similar problem! I learned to drive in a MM Black 2-Door Saloon ECB 833. I am trying now to establish its year of birth. DVLA records suggest it is scraped, is there any way to find its year of birth?
Regards .......... Peter

Thanks for info re '' my first minor '' I'm probably teaching you to 'suck eggs' but NMG was a Middlesex registration and I have found in a diary that I bought it in February 1963.Should I try and contact the Middlesex council if there is such a thing! Bob.

Sadly the number plate is now on a Porsche!

Make PORSCHE
Model 911
Colour SILVER
Body type COUPE
Engine size 3824 cc

Not what you wanted to know i'm sure, but at least it will save you time trying to track it using its original number plate.
It may well be alive and well, just with an age related plate.
Hope this helps? :-?
