All

After a few years of no time whatsoever I am now ready to rebuild my Hornby set. I was wondering about trying to suspend it from the roof of my garage on some sort of pulley system but noT sure how to go about it - has anyone tried this? Board will be about 8x4 feet (probably)!

Thanks

Might be easier to hinge it against one wall with hinged legs and don't forget to take off all rolling stock before folding up

My Dublo 3 rail is on fixed boards in the garage - with enough head room for my Traveller to run in underneath. I just stand on the bonnet to operate the trains........... Only joking! The Trav is rolled out (not in bad weather of course - must'nt ever get wet) and an ex Ikea table with shortened legs held on with wing nuts is quickly erected as a standing platform - and round the trains go ! 5 running continuously + one shunting.....

Sounds fantastic bmc - any chance of a photo? I think it should be possible to raise and lower my "trackbed" on pulleys but struggle to know exactly how to do that so that all corners rise evenly and that mechanical advantage is prime...
