Water Temperature gauge

I have a Traveller which has a water temperature sensor in the block with 2 terminals. I would like to fit a temperature gauge. Any suggestions as to the type of gauge I should look for and how to fit it would be greatly welcome.

Simon,
The water temperature sender is not in the block but in the cylinder head to the right of no. 1 spark plug and has only one terminal.

Two terminals suggests some kind of thermal switch - not something I have ever come across on an A series. As Declan says -you need a single terminal sensor in the head - connected to a suitable gauge (ex Mini is ideal) and wired through the 10 volt voltage stabiliser mounted behind the speedo. Or of course the better option is a mechanical gauge with ether filled bulb sensor which fits in the same hole as the electrical sensor.

The Smiths electric gauge sensor screws straight into the internal thread in the head, the capillery gauge should have an adaptor which screws into the hole so that the nut securing the sensor screws on to the external thread of the adaptor

Can anyone tell me what the specs are for the bolt that fits in this location (Traveller 1970)?

A bolt won't fit because it's pipe thread, IIRC it's 3/8".
