Series MM hubs on a 1000

I gather that the series MM had hubs with a PCD of 4.5".

Is it possible to fit the front hubs onto Minor 1000 kingpins?

I ask because my saloon has a 4.5" PCD MGB rear axle, and I'd like to get 4.5" up front.

Thanks for any advice!

The MM Hubs are combined with the brake drum as one unit. Also, the wheel mountings are bolts not studs and nuts. Finally, the MM hubs require a different stub axles size to the 1000 so all in all just WAY too hard!

And you end up with 7" front drums - not good.......

Read http://seriesmm.mmoc.org.uk Tech. Info. Swivel Pin Modification. You can use bolts and wheel nuts but as has been said, the bearings are integral with the 7in brake drums. You also need to know whether the wheel bolts are BSF or UNF threads

Depending on what end result you want to have, you can use a front disk brake kit and get the PCD machined to 4.5"
Then you have the option of A60 wheels (look similar to Minor saloon but 1/2" wider and 4.5" PCD).

My project Minor has this arrangement with a special made JLH front disk brake kit (not that you'd notice as it's gathering dust again :( )
