can anybody please help with wiring an old trafficator switch I have accquired one that has 6 terminal connectors on the rear of the switch 2 at the bottom @ 4 at the top all numbered.I am starting from scratch so have no idea any help would be greatly appreciated thanking you in advance PB

There should be 2 terminals at the top and 4 at the bottom.
The terminals are numbered from the top right 1 to 6 clockwise. There should be a copper strip between 5 and 6 and a coil spring on top of the bulb (12V).
Check that the bulb is working
The green feed wire goes to T3 at the bottom
The green/red l/h trafficator wire goes to T2 and the green/white r/h trafficator wire goes to T5.
If the light does not work it may be necessary to connect a wire between T1 and T2
Check that all the grub screws are turned down tight and don't forget to put the wires through the hole in the bracket before fitting them to the terminals.

The clever thing (for me at least) is that the bulb earths through the trafficator that is not working so simply connects between the two (trafficator wires. There is no direct earthing of the switch. Once you see that, then the wiring becomes clear.
