Grease is the word...

I've been given a tin of Duckhams 'Keenol' grease - not one I've come across before; it's an opaque yellow-white colour, and I wondered if it would be suitable for my Minor?

It says on the tin: 'An all-purpose lithium based grease incorporating a special zinc oxide additive...which imparts exceptional wear resisting and stay-put properties. Suitable for every chassis greasing purpose, clutches and brake adjusters. Particularly recommended for marine applications.'

So would 'chassis greasing' include Minor trunnions? What about prop UJs, track rod ends and handbrake cables, etc?

However, I would guess that it's not suitable for wheel bearings, and that I should continue to use a conventional translucent grease like Castrol LM for them?

Both books I have say multi-purpose lithium grease so should be fine.

As long as its quality, which that brand is and its like a multi purpose greese and light coloured, not dark cv greese then you will be fine. Greese them trunions and save you wing getting damaged if one goes! You dont here about trunions going as much as you used to on minors these days people must be more enthusiastic about there cars, well they are classic now

Dark CV grease is even better - it contains Moly......
