Really depends which carb you have on the car!

GSU426 appears to be for an SU HS4 1.5 inch carb. I guess if you are running a standard SU HS2 - 1.25" (as fitted to the 948/1098 Minor) then it probably will not work without many other mods. HS4's were used on 1500 midgets, spitfires and others.

This mini spares website lists the part number on p37 of the downloadable pdf of their catalogue.

Many folks do upgrade to the larger carb although the SU HIF 38 for 1098 and HIF 44 for 1275 are popular now. Some prefer the older HS4's or even HS6's - it's really just a matter of choice and preference.

Hello Mikey,

it is the right size for a HS2 (.090"), but the black plastic jet is for a semi downdraught layout and the red plastic for a horizontal layout. Just compare the two to see if you can see what the difference is?

Only likely difference can be in the length of the flexi feed pipe? Would be interesting if you can get the two jets side by side and tell what you find.

Hi all, they are different they are handed so it wont fit molly, the choke lever bar mounts on the opposite side to the one on molly, also you are right bmc the feed pipe is a little shorter on the red one, any ideas what carb it would fit also if anyone needs it let me know, its of no use to me and it can go for the price of postage, regards Mikey.[frame]Image[/frame]

Well done for getting that picture up! I hadn't thought about the choke lever connection..
