Minor Van valuation before sale

Hi all
I am looking for some advice please. I have my late fathers Morris Minor van that needs to be sold.
Before I put it in the classifieds I need to get an idea of what it is worth please.
All the details I have are to the best of my knowledge.
Morris Minor Van - 1967 - D reg - MOT'd just last week with only one advisory ( slight play in one of the steering arms)
The bodywork has had many panels replaced and is generally very solid. Front wings are fibreglass. Under the bonnet and floor plan are very clean, some surface rust but no holes or weakness I (or the MOT man) could see.
Engine is the standard 1098 with what I believe is an unleaded head fitted. It has run unleaded all the time he had the car (cira 8+ years I think)
The engine does have a slight rattle at times which I think is either rockers or timing chain. It does also smoke a little when first started after being stood for a while. Other than that it runs and goes fine.
The engine is currently fitted with a HIF carb and Howley manifold. I think I have the standard setup somewhere and can be found and fitted before sale.
Here are some pictures ...

I have no idea what it is worth so some guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks Mark

Mark_b I'm not in a position to say what your van is worth but if you post your location then if any members live locally they might be able to drop by and give you some guidance.
Also keep an eye on Ebay as many vans seem to get sold on there so that might give you an idea about where to set a price.
Good luck

Good idea on the location thing but I do worry about it just being stolen.
I am in the Guildford Surrey area.
Thanks

I'm surprised no one has been along yet, to give you a definitive (well roughly) answer, but imo i'd say despite the few odd bits as stated, it has a full year mot, you'd be looking at nearer double that..

i think it could be worth even more than that. £2.5-3k.
Vans are getting quite sought after for tradesmen, and with the roof rack and ladders it would be even more attractive to a window cleaner or electrician or what-have you.
it has a few misgivings, such as colour co-ordination and the few little holes dotted around for past fixtures, but with a multi-pack of rubber bungs it could be made much more water-tight!
vans and pickups will always command a premium over the more common saloons for the same condition.
£2.5k wouldn't be a rediculous ballpark figure, in my opinion.

I agree, subject to a more detailed check it looks like a tidy, very useable van. It looks like a good base for someone that wants to restore to a high standard too. I think you should reasonably expect around £3k and would advertise it accordingly.

I would put it up for around £3,500 (may be more) and see want responce you get, rough ones with no mot seem to fetch over £1000
good luck

She looks ex GPO to me? Bar the single rear lights. Back door stays on the rear valance, roof rack. Are those advertising Busby board fixing holes in her sides and the remains of the rear door locking mechanism bracketry on the inner side stays (just the threaded holes/nuts etc).
Cheers
Steve

it is worth £3000 of anybody's money. I would say it isn't a GPO van, it doesn't have rubber bungs where the yale locks were fitted in the front door, nor does it have the tax disc holder mounted on the passenger site of the dashboard.

This is a strange one!
803cc Engineers rear end - sharpy rear dr hooks/Dunlop buffers/pigs ear indicator holes/floorboard insp. hatch/reel clamp and "bin" reinforcing squares etc. NO "spotty" plate so DEF an OJE1!!
Pre-OJE1/162096 (12/10/63)
pre '63 GPO Engineering vans had separate body numbers - on lower horizontal strut behind spare wheel; prefixed either BMB/ENG
The cab shell looks 1098, to confuse matters an ex-SEB van registration?
Has courtesy light switch on "A" post but NO light!
Please send me the cab number and I'll look it up!!

Duh!!
Just noticed that it has LARGE rear door windows!!!!!
Therefore it came off one of the following;
1-825 FUU,889-914 EXU or 1-96 GPO = around 950 '63 GPO 803cc "OJE1s"to choose from!
PLUS the engine bay is SEB pea green.
I'm cracking up!!
