Sandun - I'm very sorry but it's not clear what you mean. What language do you speak?

The rotor must not be loose - is it loose on the shaft, or is the shaft loose in the distributor? It will have no effect on coil heat. Still waiting for an ohms value reading from your coil.......

Hello Sandun,

the rotor arm is meant to be tight on the shaft, the shaft should not have any real play in a sideways direction, i.e not loose in the body of the distributor, but the rotor arm and rotor shaft, if twisted will turn (one way) a small amount and should return once you let go of it.

Answered by PM already - but for clarity, the rotor arm should be nice and snug on the shaft, and ideally the shaft should not wobble about - but a little play is not going to make a BIG problem. And yes - test the mechanical advance by twisting the rotor with your fingers - it should turn slightly and then spring back. I have advised sandun to try to get hold of a spare Lucas 25D dizzy locally .......
