What colour wheels?
My 62 almond green Minor has cream wheels and grille.
Does anyone know what colour the cream is? What have other people used?

Re: What colour wheels?
Either Old English white (tin from MM suppliers) or try Rover Arum White - very near OEW - available from Halfords.
I've used their Appliance White on my Traveller's front grille as I didn't like the cream with the Rose Taupe. Doesn't seem to chip as much.

Warning. Don't paint Dulux/house paint on top of a celly based/enamel based paint as you can get a re-action. It's easier to remove all old paint before starting again with a primer.

It worked well enough for me - but probably depends on the age etc. Dulux lasts well - and easily painted up again when required.

Re: What colour wheels?
the dulux gloss brushes out well..
and not spraying means you can do it in the house where it is nice and warm so it will dry quicker.
when I did the traveller wheels as they where mgf space savers I simply washed them and painted and have seen no problems
for my convertible i took it back to bare metal used a zinc rich primer and then painted on top with no problems

Re: What colour wheels?
Spent ages trying to get the paint and rust off the spare (and that's the best one! ) The others are pitted rust.
Thinking I shall look into having them media blasted.
Costs are adding up now, blasting, primer, paint, tyres, tubes, fitting, balancing.
A new set of alloys with tubeless tyres are looking better and better value!

Re: What colour wheels?
I just used a knotted wire brush in my angle grinder - need goggles and ear protection - but it cleaned up my van wheels very nicely.

Thanks BMC, didn't know there was such a thing, I have been using a knotted wire brush on a drill but it is difficult to reach the recesses. I'm off to Toolstation in the morning!
And Charlie, thanks for the kind offer.
