Just found a 1963 2D left hand drive, has been in storage for 10+ years. Did they send alot of these to the states?

Yes there were quite a few Minor went to the states, in fact thats why the headlights were moved higher up to meet the Americian market regulations. I think they stopped selling them there in 1967.
