I don't use the exact make but i change to winter tyres from october, not only for ice and snow but they function better at the lower temperatures we get in winter, I always feel they are a good investment. In the snow last year i used snow tyres and chains and never really had an issue, it seemed to be everyone else on the road that was causing problems

Hahahaha -it's always 'everyone else' that causes the problems... Dib dib dib :D
There was a thread on this subject just recently where pretty much all the available tyres were noted - although it seemed to get the best looking winter tyres it may be necessary to go down to 13" wheels - no great problem, and would leave extra room for these snow chains !

All my family now have winter tyres on their cars. We fit them on the rear until the weather turns, then swap to the front (fwd obviously :D )
I don't use my Lexus when the snows lying :) - it's not that it's too bad in the snow, but if it gets stuck, it weighs a ton and three quarters :o
Plenty choice of 13 inch winter tyres out there.
