Hi Just got back from Newark AUto jumble got my self an oil pressure gauge plus a separate water temp gauge and I remember seeing pictures on this site of the locations for the sender units. I've spent all my hair looking for them.
I just feel more confident with pictures

they are both capillary and i want to keep the oil light on the dash,is this possible?
The journey to newark was made worth while by the auto jumblers ,lots of other stalls made it almost a car boot sale

What engine do you have?
The 1098 temp sender fits in the head below the thermosat housing. Remove the blanking plug, you may need an adapter
If no blanking plug, you may be able to fit a thermostat housing with the blanking plug or have a threaded hole fitted in the radiator header tank.
The oil feed pipe will fit in the same place as the oil pressure warning light sensor, you will need a T piece adaptor[frame]

regrettably the newark autojumble is turning into a bit of a car boot, some very useful stalls though,
did you park in the exclusive classics section?

Hi Chris
Regrettably I didn't have time to go in the moggie, the better half gave explicit instructions to be home by mid afternoon, with grave consequences ,as I had also had special permission to go to Malvern the day before

,that was pretty good ,much smaller than Newalk, but better focused if you follow my thread.
I only saw 5 moggies at Newark and Sat was commercials at Malvern, they were fantastic, such time and effort such results

The T piece is a standard Smiths component, not a Minor part.
An ammeter is dead easy to fit, cut the wire from the solenoid to control box , join a cable of the same gauge to the ammeter and back down to to other length of cable. If the ammeter reads the wrong way round swap the wires on the back over. Make sure that the wires are well insulated where they pass through the bulkhead
