Depends which bit you call the 'thickest', the bit that the inner bearing sits on, or the bit that the seal runs on (bigger).

Bit that bearing sits on = 25mm dia
Bit that seal runs on = 35mm dia

Odd that it's metric not imperial, but it's definately 25mm, not an inch.

The reason I asked was because I have just bought Marina hubs with 4" PCD to fit discs to my moggy. They come with taper roller bearings and I was expecting an adaptor for the inner bearing. Seems I dont need one :D :D

Paul, if you do not require an adapter for the inner bearing on your set up, would it be possible to let me know the bearing number?

Thanks

ooh yes, i'm just putting some marina discs onto my minor (they came off my other minor  ) and they've got the adapter sleeves in. infact that's why i was able to measure a stub for you, my hubs are off at the mo!

The inner bearing is 30205, no makeers mark just KG and the outer is 30203 again KG. every artical Iread said there was no bearing that fits the inner so I was expecting an adapter. I did buy just the bearing kit first with a view to fitting marina wheels. That kit came with the adapter. I sent them back when I was told esm did a hub kit. Hope this helps.

From what I gather that bearing 50205 will not fit in a 'standard' marina hub. It is 52mm in diameter and the marina 'original' is 50.3mm (approx). I can only assume that 50205 bearing is designed to fit the new hub in the new kit.

The marina bearing is listed as p/no 44649/44610. Where the first number represents the inner race of the bearing and t'other is the outer race. There is also listed another bearing that is part/no. 44643/44610 , where the inner diameter is smaller at 25.4mm(1 inch) AND outer race remains the same.

However, unfortunitely and as has been pointed out, the 'minor' shaft is 25mm. I've measured an old Minor bearing I/D to confirm this too.

And so my conclusion would be to have the back of the hub machined out to 52mm to take the 50205 bearing. £££
Anyway I'm going to purchase a 50205 (£3.26) bearing and have a gander. It would be nice if the roller bearing size and angle were generic and just swap the outer races over, as the two bearings are of similar size.
Anybody know any different or much more please pm or on here.

I've only just seen the hubs on esm. In the long run they seem pretty good and still have the minor pcd. You can still buy new discs (£40 a pair brembo on ebay) pads, calliper refurb kit and pistons. Not forgetting 'red rubber grease' for the piston seals.
