Brake servo brackets

I have been given a new AP type 6 remote Brake Servo HRK115, to put on my Traveller, can anyone tell me where I can get the two fixing brackets for it, as they were not any with the unit, and just to check that I fit it right, is it ok just to put the servo between the pipe from the Master Cylinder and the pipe to the front three way connection. Cheers

I can't help with the brackets, but if you fit the servo into the line from the master cylinder to the front t-piece, you will have servo assistance to the front brakes only. It has been done this way, but really you need to bring the pipe from the master cylinder to the rear t-piece to the front as well, to get 4-wheel servo braking.
It means blanking off the connection on the master cylinder for the rear brakes, replace the rear pipe with a longer one to reach the front and use a second t-piece to connect the front and rear together with the outlet from the servo.

As Richard has pointed out - there's a bit more to it, servo on the front brakes only will be dangerously unbalanced, especially in the wet - and you also need a vacuum source of course. If your car has the later 8" drum brakes you really really DON'T need a servo..... It doesn't make the brakes any better - if they are not able to lock the wheels at 20/30 mph - the brakes need a good overhaul.
