Who makes the best Panels

I know people may not like to nominate suppliers so all I am looking for is a candid view on panel fit.
I see Hadrian panels, ESM and Charles Ware all supply panels. I need sill repair panels and maybe a spring hanger.
What is the view on best fit? I know Charles Ware and ESM are very helpful .
many thanks

I've bought sill repair, spring hanger, inner rear arch panels for a traveller and sill panels for my series II from ESM never had a problem, always leave enough when cutting out to overlap new and old.

Hello Irmscher,
you say "and the metal as inferior", I'm intrigued as how you can judge the metal quality?

Compared with the steel originally used by BMC some of the modern replica panels seem to rust very quickly and deeply. Steels do vary considerably in their composition and corrosion resistance.
A lot of the steel used after the war was very good quality and this is evident by the number of early cars that seem to have survived rust very well.
Just my two pennyworth

Hello Taupe,
what is important with regard to corrosion is simply proper coating.
My question was how do you judge, especially as steel, like most other alloys come in a variety of grades and all have their strengths and weaknesses. Reproduction panels I've used seem 'soft' and is probably particularly suited to press work. Whether it's corrosion resistance is lower I couldn't guess but all mild steel corrodes quickly and needs protection.

P.S. You might like to look at this link, no mention of comparative corrosion resistance until the Stainless section.

I've used a various suppliers, when it comes to wings, pa yhe extra for heritage, these are 1.2mm thick as opposed to the 1mm reproductions and fit better.
I also used Bull motif who have also all been been good.
