After fitting my new leather interior, I had my old back seat, in perfect condition, going spare. So I decided to do something fun and useful with it :). Its made all from welded metal box section, or tube, all spare bits I had lying around :). The frame has been taken back to bare metal, primed and all painted black, although most of it is hidden in the design :) The back legs are angled for stability, and solid square section so heavy enough to stop the seat tipping forward.[frame]Image[/frame]

does it still have the wing bolts in the back so you can fold it flat?

you should do the same with front seats (which naturally fall over backwards when left to their own devices)...

ooh and make a coffee table out of an old engine block.

you'll have your own top gear studio in no time!

That looks great!
Not sure 'her indoors' would be impressed though.
