Hello,
I'm just in the process of getting my car back on the road, however I managed to break the windscreen squirters when I took them off so I baught some new ones. The problem is however that they are significantly wider in diameter than the originals and I'd rather not have to open out the holes on my (partially) freshly painted car!

Can I get hold of smaller diameter jets or is it time for Mr Drilly.?

Phyllis had a pair of black 'button' screenwashers, which I replaced with two nice chromed ones from Bull Motif... no modification required.

What age is your car? Early cars were fitted with aftermarket screenwashers, sometimes on the bonnet, rather than on the windscreen scuttle panel.

Yeah the black button ones are what I took off (single jet) and I got hold of some other black button ones (double jet) I was avoiding chrome as its more to go dull/pit/fall off. I may well investigate!

Molly is a 1962 car by the way - one of the last handclap ones.

Yup, Phyllis is a '62 mog, but she's had the later indicators put in to make her safer on the roads. They were there when I bought her, instead of the dual-filament jobbies, and I've replaced them like-for-like. Much as I'd love to get the big relay working again, or even have a Mog with semaphores, I can't see that being terribly practical when driving through Birmingham...

As for the washers - you can still get the single-hole black button ones, I'm sure, but as I said, I replaced single-hole black ones with single-hole chrome ones and they fitted easily. I've an idea that I might have tried the dual-hole chrome squirters and they were too big, or didn't fit properly... but I honestly can't remember...

Give East Sussex Minors a call they should be able to clarify your concern, and they are really helpful as well as suppling parts very quickly.

yeah thats me with the ginger hair and unhealthy fascination with the underside of cars- that car was my personal fave from last year. I'll order some of the chrome squirters from Bull Motif tomorrow - shame ot fail the MOT in such a small thing! Molly has the all red indicators at the back and I've never really had a problem with other road users . I used to drive her every day round manchester (8+ years of studentdom - nope I don't remember a thing!). I did use hand signals if it was really obvoius that other people were ignoring the indicators.

yes - I sometimes do that too and that is with orange flashers....
