I Can't See The Light

Post by sloopjohnrb »

I have a 948 cc, March 1962.

Recently I needed new front sidelight/indicator bulbs but I was sent the wrong ones.

The bulb type that DOES work is: Carlex P21 5w 12v E2 2G2.
The front sidelight also doubles as the indicator, clear bulb, clear glass lens, bayonet fitting (offset) with TWO contacts at the bottom of the bulb.

Please does anyone know where and what bulbs I should be trying to get?

Best wishes

Any local motor factors should be able to sell you a double filament 'stop tail' replacement bulb for this. The pins should be offset. Heres a link to the ESM bulb

As above - any garage/filling station - even Hellfrauds... 5/21 bulb - extremely common bulb - worth carrying at least one spare in the car.
