myrtle died on holiday

hi all had a very frustrating weekend went up to yorkshire ,the car got hot in traffic got the vapours for the first time ,made it up to grantham services and found my red rotor arm had burnt out and the new dizzy cap was had it too .replaced both carried on to destination car running but not as smooth as normal.no sleep friday due to drunk idiots insisting on arguing and fighting round my tent till 3 am.went to scarbourgh for the day ,filled up with petrol got back to camp engine started making horrid noises.had to push car to tent .still got good oil pressure60psi so does not seem like mains ,no oil in water or viser verser,what do people think it sounds like its running on 2 cylinders,i think its burnt out some valves aa man reckoned the same as inition system is good came home 220 miles thanks to aa car going to doctors tomorrow . :D

Head gasket - easy job - 1 hour max allowed......

Agreed. Quick compression test will confirm it. MOst likely gasket blown between two cylinders, so no leak of fluid, just loss of compression.

And once thats done you have to do an assault course...
Oh wait - you mean we're not on the Krypton Factor? :lol:

On the plus side - Yorkshire's great isnt it! :D

agreed head gasket, sorry that you had a bad run in yorkshire!
