Re: twin carb in 1098
It's a poor idea - if you want better performance, fit the single larger HS4 or later HIF38 carb from a Mini, complete with in let manifold. It bolts straight on and will give a few extra BHP for little cost. For any real performance increase - the cylinder head needs improving.

it's not poor idea, my morris minor have few modification like 5 speed gearbox upgrade suspension.
I need just little more performance.

Re: twin carb in 1098
Twin carbs will give very little extra performance - as I said above - to get worthwhile extra BHP you need to change the cylinder head - and still a big single carb is much better than the small twins. I know - I've been doing this for almost 50 years ! Read Mr Vizard's book if you still don't believe me.
But - here you go - http://www.sucarb.co.uk/ProductDetail.a ... 1&id=34047 and you will also need an exhaust manifold and a new system..... so budget ~£200/300 for that. It's such a waste of money.........

An HS4 or HIF 38 is quite adequate for 1098 but to get any benefit from the bigger carb you will need a decent LCB system to get the exhaust out. Also you will not have the tuning and balancing problems of setting up twins

Re: twin carb in 1098
For an otherwise standard 1098 engine - the standard exhaust manifold and system is fine.

Re: twin carb in 1098
The one shown in the picture should be ok - the other one on Oselli manifold - won't fit without some work - but of course you only want one..... So bid away - but the price may rise, since it is for two items.
