Hi all,
I know this has been covered before , but I'm still bam boozelled . I'm after fitting either metro or Saab 900 seats to my 1966 2 door moggie. People keep mentioning sub frames etc. can any one recommend some where i can set some from as cheap as poss. or if you have any drawing on how to make, ill have a go at getting some made.
Or if any one has any for sale that will fit.

Iv rang several motor sport places explained what i wanted and they have all said that there sub frames even the universal ones wouldn't fit.

Newton Commercial sell seat frames but they are expensive. Measure the distance between the seat mounting bolts left to right and front to rear to be sure that they will fit

You can always make your own.. If your interested in going that roue have a look through posts on here. If not as psl said jlh sell very well made ones.

At seeing the prices it may be cheaper to make my own. Does anyone have any plans or diagrams they can send me.

Thanks for the tread. Your seats look lovely. Ta for the base pic , ill take it to a fabricator to show. Im sure it will be cheaper than buying a pre fabricated one.

You can buy seat subframes with saab 900 seats and metro seats. there are plenty with them on ebay.

Just had a look on ebay, they all seem to be for bucket seats and there are so many i wouldn't know where to start. I could end up buying totally the wrong thing and wasting what little money i have.

Do you have any measurement for the newton subframe. eg Hight. length of legs front and rear . or a rough sketch i can show a fabricator.

No i don't have a rough sketch etc of them, as they came with the seats, but if you ask newton commercials if they sell them. As Alex says try and make your own as it'll be cheaper
