Torque wrench settings

Please can somebody tell me the correct torque for tightening the road wheel nuts on a Moggie 1000.

40 ft lbf should be fine.

As tight as you can get them with a socket and ratchet with the wheel on the ground. Always check before fitting the hub caps

Tighten them with what ever tool you carry to undo them!

If you do use a ratchet, don't stand on it to get them tighter.

If you have the piece of bent wire called a wheel brace then leave it in the tool roll.
