They produce a stronger spark.... and the higher the gas pressure the harder it is to spark, maybe if you have an engine with a high comp ratio......

The sports coils produce a stronger spark which allows you to have a larger spark gap at the plug, which in turn produces more of a spark to ignite the charge (fuel/air mixture).

So i was part right :) but it is harder to spark in higher pressures

Indeed it is, and it's even harder when N2O is present. If you put a sports coil on a standard engine and leave everything else as it is then there will be no difference as the spark needs a certain voltage (electrical pressure) to 'jump' the gap. As soon as this voltage is reached it sparks and earths, so it does not matter what voltage the coil CAN produce as long as it is sufficient to jump the gap.
