leaking heater tap

the heater tap on primrose is leaking from the top
considering its literally 2 years and 2 months old, i am reluctant to fork out another £15 for a new one, so is it possible to replace a seal in it or something??

n.b, its the actual tap and not the cable valve that i have fitted, the cable valve always breaks on mine, so i assumed a tap out be easier to use and less to go wrong with it (apparently not)

Does it have a packing gland you can GENTLY nip down?

Try gently tightening the nut on top of the body of the tap. Also tighten the tap onto the base plate

After you have seen inside the tap it will leak even worse.

Surely you can find a replacement washer ..... Did you find any packing seal in there?

My new one leaked a little bit too, I slightly embarrassed to say I ended up letting London water stop the leak.
I have to drink it so it only seems fair :) .

no packing material of any kind, just a rubber washer at each end of the plunger, one to turn it on/off and the other one to stop water seaping out between the stem and the casting. thats the one that was leaking.
