Hamilton v Maldonado
I can't for the life of me understand why Maldonado is being allowed to race tomorrow. His act was clearly malicious - yes Hamilton moved slightly towards his line because the track has a little kink there, but he had already swerved away from Maldonado and could clearly then expect that he had plenty of room to sweep past - but Mal took a very definite swipe over towards Ham - probably only intended to kiss tyres - but misjudged it and took away part of the front wing - would have been worse if Ham hadn't swerved away slightly...... And this after the times had been set and supposedly just cruising round to the pits..... Maldonado should be banned for a 5 races I believe - not just pushed back 5 places - which is hardly any penalty for him since he is so miserably slow anyway. Hamilton was perfectly right to pass Maldonado when on his qually lap - in fact -he was clearly impeded by Maldonado - it appeared Mal made room and then tried to close the door - hence the tyre banging there. THE most ridiculous Stewards decision yet I think!

I agree with what your saying, however I also think it was slightly foolish for hamilton to overtake on the final corner of that qualifying lap, his time was 2 seconds quicker than that of buemi in 11th and he was taking an unnecessary risk by overtaking. However maldonado's time did make a difference to his grid slot.

Hamilton was trying for Pole - and it appeared that MAl had pulled over off line to let him through.....until he pulled back again.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Definate case of track rage.
Re: Hamilton v Maldonado
The accident during the race was clearly 100% Hamilton - again I'm amazed the Stewards didn't take some action against him - I bet if the cars had been the other way round, Hamilton would have been shouting for action! I'm no 'fan' of the Wee Twerp - but he certainly seems to be able to keep out of all these incidents......and he can drive...........

True, he did move twice. Hamilton did admit post race it was his fault. But I don't think that he should be penalised, it was a racing incident, this happens in all levels of racing and I don't think punishing every little collision as we have seen this year is setting a good precedent. Also as a vettel fan, good to see him back to winning ways, and everyone said he couldn't overtake..

Yes - interesting race - as ever ruined by the Safety Car of course. And so artificial with the use of Kers and DSR so restricted. I believe these devices should be there for the drivers to use whenever they want - the Kers recharge would be up to the driver too and available whenever he wants - not just after crossing the start line....... Would be nice to have Kers on my Traveller - an 80 bhp boost for a few seconds at the push of a button would make all the difference!
