Can anyone point me in the direction of a good thread on how to fit disc brakes to a car or similar ?
I have some that I plan to remove from another car to fit to my green 4 door this winter... well I'm going to give them to a man who is going to fit them for me

,but I'm still looking for a good thread on the subject. Ta.

If they're marina based, this is probably the most useful as a general overview
http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39109 For more specific bits eg bearings torque etc if you look through my posts you will probably find all the info as i too had to find alot of this out recently.

Depend s very much on the donor car....... Much easier (and very much less expensive) to just fit larger drum brakes - if you really need better braking, that is ??

Are you part of the MMOC? if so look on page 29 of the current september/october edition of minor matters, there is a article on how to fit the JLH kit.

If you buy a kit it should be all in the instructions. Practical Classics also have a Morris Minor disc fitting guide (jlh again iirc), sadly for us bodgers it consists of "Go to supplier, buy kit, fit kit"
If you find a way of fitting some other random discs on off another vehicle - keep us updated!
There was a proper bodger thread on here years ago about fitting VW discs as despite the PCD (100mm vs 101 or whatever) difference the bolt holes were big enough to afford some wiggle room to get away with it.
Def not recommending, just thought it worth a mention.
YERTIZ!
