I have a problem with the heater fan. It is working fine. Unfortunately it is working all of the time. The only way to turn it
off is to undo the white wire from the bullet connector leading to the unit. The metal two position switch appears to be broken
(it will not stay the position where you set it). How easy is it to replace this switch, can it be done without removing the heater unit? Or should I consider putting in an in-line switch, where the wiring is accessible?

From memory, if having disconnected the battery, you remove the plastic knob from the vent lever.Should be a push fit.If it appears to be stuck don't force it.See later comment.
Undo the three ( ? ) screws from the "fascia" plate on the heater.Remove the plate.( leave the plate dangling, if the plastic knob was stuck ).This should give you enough room to hold the back of the old switch.Replace ( ESM- Switch on/off metal lever Part No ACC189 £3.50 )and refit.Re-connect battery.

even a minor wiper switch will do, I did it on mine, just as described.

Now fixed Thanks, the switch was missing most of the plastic/insulation inside the heater.

Glad it is "fully functioning " now.
