Thread Size on Pick-up Spring Mount

Post by BigDawgV8 »

Hi All,

I'm about to re-fit the rear suspension to the Pick-up chassis.
I need to clean up the threads on the spring mounting pins (the pins welded to the sides of the chassis).

Does anyone know what size thread these are?

Any help much appreciated.

Ta!

I think its 1/2" BSW, its the same as the front bumper irons.

I put nyloc nuts back on mine.

Thanks for that Steve.

Someone on another forum has suggested 1/2'' BSF

Can anyone confirm which please?

Cheers

Sorry it might well be BSF instead of BSW. One way to confirm which it is, is by counting the TPI

For BSF it should have a TPI of 16
&
For BSW it should have a TPI of 12

I've just tried a die on the thread of a spare mount, so I'd say 1/2'' bsf
