Trafficator current

Hiya! Quick question...

What sort of current does a trafficator draw? I assume it's not much.

I'm just wiring in the old trafficators alongside the flashers and checking which method/wire thickness is appropriate, thats all. :)

Andy,

The most common wire size used in the Minor is 14/0.012" or 14/0.3mm, and this is what was used originally for the indicators, along with almost everything else apart from the headlights and dynamo main output. It has 14 strands of wire, each 0.012" or 0.3mm in diameter and is rated at up to around 8 amps capacity.

Thanks Richard and Roy I have the 14/0.012 (8.75A) wire in my plans so all's good :)

Thanks, I have mine planned slightly different to that using just one flasher and 2 relays, but also have hazards included, the diagram gets quite interesting at that point! :)
